The German Digital Award (Deutscher Digital Award or DDA for short) has been one of the most important awards for digital creative excellence in the German-speaking region for more than 10 years.
Every year, starting from December until the beginning of March the following year, Agencies and brands submit their digital campaigns, formats and projects in 8 main categories. Each category consists of several sub-categories (35 in total) in which specific competition entries can be submitted. Each sub-category will be judged individually and can be awarded with gold, silver or bronze. The gold winners will also be nominated for the “Best Of” award.
The submissions are reviewed and evaluated by a high-caliber jury consisting of creative experts from brands, agencies, social media platforms and the trade press.
The German Digital Award is an initiative of the expert group for digital agencies within the BVDW. This expert group creates transparency and guidance for BVDW members and the digital economy with formats such as rankings, publications and through an event series called Agency Academy.
