About the Working group
The profitable and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the German digital economy is the focus of the department’s work. The aim is to answer questions relating to the changes in the value chain of the digital economy and to offer solutions to the ethical, social and legal challenges posed by AI in order to ensure a sustainable and positive impact on society, the economy and the environment.
Mission
Our mission is to promote understanding of AI and break down barriers. By sharing ideas, we want to maximize the economic potential of AI technology while promoting its responsible and effective use.
Vision
We strive to promote cooperation between industry, politics and science in order to strengthen the beneficial development of AI technology in Germany.
Scope
Our experts in the AI department are working on this in two labs. The Value Chain lab is working on the opportunity-oriented transformation of the value chain in the digital economy with the aim of answering questions relating to new, AI-supported business models, value creation and remuneration. The Responsibilty Lab deals with the challenges of responsible use of Artificial Intelligence. The aim is to develop solutions that meet the ethical, social and legal challenges posed by AI.

The “Value Chain” lab deals with the opportunity-oriented change in the value chain of the digital economy. The aim is to answer the questions surrounding new, AI-supported business models, value creation and remuneration, for example the development of new ways in the creation and production of content & assets.

The “Responsibility” lab deals with the challenges of responsible use of artificial intelligence.
